: a severe and sometimes fatal form of erythema multiforme that is characterized especially by purulent conjunctivitis, Vincent's angina, and ulceration of the genitals and anus and that often results in blindness
Stevens, Albert Mason (1884-1945), and Johnson, Frank Chambliss (1894-1934), American pediatricians. Stevens and Johnson jointly published a description of Stevens-Johnson syndrome in 1922. They based their report upon two cases found in children.
